Belgium or Bust.

I have been looking for a new job.. it turns out they gave that full-time position to someone else.. oh well, I guess it wasn't meant to be. I've been applying at all kinds of agencies in Eugene and Springfield that provide in-home care. Today, I had an interview on the spot, (It wasn't my favorite companies though, but I am hired pending orientation and a drug test.) I also have another interview next Tuesday, and a possible interview late next week.. so job hunting is fun!0

So, other than teaching little kiddos.. and looking for a second job.. Belgium, and well Raymond.. are the only thing on my mind! I just got my passport about two weeks ago.. so I am saving for our trip.. he is saving too.. and when we have reached the needed amount of funds.. I'll be on a big airplane flying across the Atlantic Ocean! I CANNOT WAIT!!! I think it is getting hard on both of us with all this waiting.. I know its hard on me. Passports are so nifty looking you know?!? Its my first one.. so I still look at it like everday.. and think about that day when I'll have Belgium stamped inside.. and I'll finally meet the man of my dreams! :D

Soo.. until then I try not to day-dream all day.. and stay focused! If you want to the "Michaela meets Raymond Fund," feel free! (I don't think they are tax deductible though) Just kidding, but really... :D

Everyone a far update me with how you are!

On Mckenzie On Mckenzie Best School in the West!

Hey Friends.
First of all.. I must say that I'm sorry I have been a horrible blogger. Life is busy what can I say? I am loving life right now though, its great! I'm LOVING my new job, i've been subbing at a specific school for the last several weeks. Yesterday they told me that a full-time position is opening soon because a girl is going on maternity leave... and they are considering me for the position! Saweeet. I've already gotten used to the kids there and started to build relationships, so it would be awesome to get to stay, plus I'd have a consistent schedule each week.. and the consistency of working with the same kids!! Basketball is going good. We're in league playoffs right now.. we lost to CROW High School last night, so we have to play Saturday at 2:30pm for 3rd in our league.. then we will advance to the state playoffs and travel a LONG ways away for our first round. If you are not up to anything Saturday afternoon, swing by and see us at Junction City High School.. where we will be playing the Alsea Wolverines, (sorry Rubes, we gotta beat 'em!).

I'm posting a really cute pic of me and one of my seniors, Katy. She's one of my favorites!

miss you guys.

The Number Thing is Cool....

Hey, so I wanted to do what all my cool blogger friends who are too busy to blog do..
..write a numbered list of updates, cuz, well, its cool!

1. I got a new job! I love it, I am a substitue teacher's aid for special education in the Springfield School District. So far, i have worked at 3 elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school! I love it.. I am combining my two passions in life (people with disabilities and kids, its a great fit!)

2. I still love coaching. We are 4-1 in league now. (We lost to the infamous Lowell Red Devils, but we'll bounce back and get 'em the second time around) Last night we beat McKenzie's long standing rival, the Mohawk Indians, and it felt good! The Eagle alumni in me was especially happy.

3. Last night we had a basketball girls Christmas party. It was so much fun. I made enchiladas for my hispanic player Teresa, because she didn't really believe me that I am ethnically diverse and a quarter mexican. I think she believed me after she ate 'em. We also did a gift exchange and played games. I got the game LIFE in the gift exchange so we busted that out. I came in second place, retiring with 335,000, 3 kids (a set of twins, and a baby boy), I was a vetrinarian. The new edition of life is crazy, you can go back to school later in life, and they even have "lawsuit" spaces, where you can take someone to court for $100,000. Sure sounds like 2007 huh?

4. Christmas is in 4 days.. I'll be spending it with my family in Blue River, not in Belgium, but the trip is being postponed.

5. I have lost close to 15lbs.. yay. :D

6. My brother and I have started looking for places to live in Springfield, we may be roomies soon, I think that will be lots of fun!

That's my top six most important things to report.. I'll have more for you soon!
Hey Everyone...

...just wanted to take a minute to wish you all a very, Merry Christmas!

I pray that you all experience the peace, love and joy of the holiday season!

Quick McKenzie Basketball Update.

Hey Ya'll.

We are 2-0 in league. We beat two teams above us in league! (So technically we could be like second in league) Tonight we are playing the power house of our league!

Hoping and praying to beat the Lowell Red Devils tonight.. this is what "Rev Run DMC" had waiting for me in my inbox, so I am feeling pretty optomistic!

We got our first Win!

Hey Everyone.

I just thought I would actively keep you updated on our record for the season.
The McKenzie Varsity girls got their first victory last night, and it was a league game at Alsea!
Alsea was supposed to be favored over us, (its supposed to go Lowell, Crow, Alsea, McKenzie) but we pulled out the W. We were down 9 at the half and came back and won by 3. The calls
were horrible the first half, I thought my center Katie was going to have a broken back after the
number of times she had an over the back foul (with out a call).

So, we are off to a 5 hour roadtrip tomorrow to play a non-league game in Powers.
Then we have a game at Oakridge Tuesday, and one at home on Thursday, then its off to
South Wasco (its somewhere really far away along the columbia gorge) for a two-day tourney!

Hope you guys can make it to a game sometime.
I love this coaching job, i forgot how much drama there can be in girls athletics, but I am still
having the time of my life!

Hey Guys..

Just a quick update. 9 days until our first games. Yikes!
Our girls are so good though. I am confident about Oakridge at home on the 26th.
I'm still sore.. i think I have shin splints, (which means my legs need to get stronger!)

The Ducks lost to Arizona yesterday. Hey, can you blame us.. we're out CAM, Paysinger, Stewart, and our main man heisman runner, Dixon. I'll be honest I cried a little bit though.

“I’m not worried about that at all,” Dixon said to ESPN about the Heisman race. “I’m playing for my team and my teammates and they know that.”

I have a good job opportunity hopefully opening up soon.. I'm excited about that.

I'll keep you posted.
